Here I am, facing new challenges under lockdown. And that is why I decided it was time to change the image and the direction of travellingspice .

Travellingspice was born in Mexico in 2013. Those were happy days in a country that welcomed us with open arms and where my daughter was born. I  discovered then not only a new country but also a new continent and I made new friends for life.

So many happy moments I had in Mexico. You can see much more when you explore the Menu.

Guelaguetza, Oaxaca, Mexico

Charreria, Mexico

Mexico, San Miguel de Allende

I had never blogged in my life so the first posts were hesitant, my pictures were also not the quality they are now. I was busy with a small child and I hadn’t become the photographer I am now.

And this is what I have become, a photographer. This is the reason why I decided to divide this website and make a new one just for my photography. Soon I will also be talking about that.

Although I am busy with a new big photo project, I want to continue writing for travellingspice. There is a lot I want to show you about my travels during the 4 years I spent in Iran and all the travelling I did during that time.

During these troubling times we are facing, travelling has almost become now a concept in the realm of fantasy, but I’m hopeful soon we can get back to a more normal reality. For now Vienna is where you can find me. We are going through a new lockdown at the moment but at least we can still walk outside and breath the fresh air.

Vienna, Austria

I’m hoping you will still want to accompany me on my path …

Be safe! Stay healthy!

Welcome! Through my photography and my travels, you will discover the people I have encountered and the places that will stay with me forever. In this crazy new reality we seem to be living, it is even more important to be grateful for all the people who have crossed our path and touched us in same way. As for all the old and new stones, they can live in our imaginary for now, waiting, when the time is right again ...

    Fernando Rueda
