We all have days when stress takes over and we feel overwhelmed either by events or by people. Lemon balm is used in several countries as a stress relief. The lemony scented leaves usually have an immediate southing effect, at least on me.
Here in Mexico they often use for tea the two flowery types of Lemon balm, the one with creamy white flowers and the one with purple flowers.
Lemon Balm Tea against Stress
Serves two cups of tea
- 1/4 cup mixed white flower and purple flower lemon balm
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp honey
Bring water to a boil, add the lemon balm and cook for 3 minutes. Remove the lemon balm, pour the tea into a cup and add the honey. Mix well and drink it, it won’t take long for you to calm down and feel better. It works for me!
