If you are in a time zone that has still cold weather at the moment, chances are you already had or will soon get a cold, cough and/or the flu. This Bougainvillea tea against cough may be just what you need.

I live in Mexico and during the winter holidays we did a road trip in the Quintana Roo,Yucatan and Campeche Provinces. Most of the time we got around 30 C / 86 F. We arrived back in Mexico and it was  freezing! Needless to say, I was feeling a bit under the weather and started coughing pretty fast.

A Mexican friend had told me about this miracle Bougainvillea tea against cough and although I was reluctant to believe her, I decided to give it a try this time.

It works better if you get the purple flowers according to her. Good thing all I have to do is to go to the garden and pick some. I took it this morning and have never coughed since. She advised me to take it twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. It also works faster if your cough is not full-blown.

Welcome! Through my photography and my travels, you will discover the people I have encountered and the places that will stay with me forever. In this crazy new reality we seem to be living, it is even more important to be grateful for all the people who have crossed our path and touched us in same way. As for all the old and new stones, they can live in our imaginary for now, waiting, when the time is right again ...

Where can I get the purple Bougainvillea flowers? I live in Arkansas where this flowers are not grown. I’ve looked online but haven’t found a seller. My son has been coughing for four months now. He’s on three asthma medicines to help with the cough but he himself doesn’t have asthma. A handful of the flowers landed on my hands and it was a miracle. I made the tea and my son’s coughing decreased from all night long (to the point of throwing up) to just a couple coughs through the night. Do you know where I can find a seller online? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I’m sorry Mari I don’t know. I usually got the flowers from my garden in Mexico whenever we had cough. It is really a wonderful tea. Since I’ve been living in Austria, it has been difficult to find the purple flowers. I’m travelling in Mexico at the moment. If I can find something online here I will let you know.
